Even though I choose "forever" when I log in, it doesn't keep me logged in the next time I come here.  Yes, my cookies are set correctly.

I ran a test. I logged in yesterday, clicked "always stay logged in" and shutdown and came back in today and it logged me back in automatically.  I cant explain what might be happening to cause that to fail unless it is some browser setting on the client machine.

All I can say is that the other forums I use keep me logged in.  I doubt it is anything set from this end.  I use Safari - is this board optimized for just IE?

I use IE 6 and Firefox v2 and it seems to work for me so far.  I dont have a clue why it might be failing for you.

OK, bizarre.  I didn't log in and just looked down through the list of threads and found the one new one.  When I clicked on it, I was suddenly logged in.  So I am forever (or something) logged in, but not when I arrive at the main page.  This is one I haven't seen at any other site.

Hmmm..

  So, it seems that only the top level page is not logging us in correctly (when we click stay logged in).

If I go to any other page, it shows I'm logged in.  But the top level page doesn't, unless I login again.

Funny that...

Another data point, at least, Tom!
