Since 1885, the Pittsburgh Photo Section has been devoted to helping photographers grow and expand their horizons. We meet three times each month, with our season running from September to May. Please look at our schedule and read our flyer/membership application (182K pdf). The membership is made up of amateur as well as professional photographers.
Meetings are held at the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center (off Cedar Blvd), starting at 8PM. Learn more about us.
What's New!
The results of the 2009-2010 Year End Competition have been posted. Congratulations to all the winners!
We have been invited by Eric Mendelson to hang a show in his Photo Forum Gallery in the upper lobby of the US Steel Building. The plan is for the exhibit to be divided into two parts. The first gallery of the archive prints was a great success. The second is an exhibit of current members' prints. The theme of both exhibits is “Pittsburgh: Urban Landscapes, Rivers, Industry and Architecture”.
New help files for submitting digital images have been added to the web site.
Several outings have been scheduled for 2010. Photo Club members have several opportunities to get together during the off-season for club meetings, See the schedule in the forum for more details. Look in the forum for other Photo Opportunities.
The Photo Club Forum is now live.
Members of the club are encouraged to register, create posts and visit often.
The purpose of the forum is to increase the interaction between club members and
provide a medium to exchange knowledge. Please read the
Information for
New Users in the forum before getting started. The forum is only open to
Photo Club members to join but anyone can read the content.
